Sarah Schwartz and Andrew Lindstrom fell in love and are getting married!

They invite you to join their wedding ceremony and celebration on Gabriola Island September 30th, 2017! The exact venue on the island will depend on the number of guests who are able to attend - so please R.S.V.P. by August 1st, 2017.

It’s going to be a fun and carefree event. Don't worry about what to wear, just come as you are!

LOcation

Gabriola is the place where Sarah and Andrew first met and bought their first home! They (we) couldn't think of a more lovely place to exchange vows. Please watch your email for specific details about the event location.

FerRies

Gabriola is a 25 minute ferry ride from the downtown Nanaimo harbour. Here is the schedule for the weekend of September 30th.

If you're coming from Vancouver, you'll need to take a big ferry first. Here is a link to the Horseshoe Bay & Tsawwassen ferry schedules.

There are also float planes from Vancouver to Nanaimo and Vancouver to Gabriola, if you fancy that.

TranspOrTatiOn

It is hard to get around Gabriola without a car. It's a small island, but not that small. Driving directions will be sent directly to your inbox and there will be plenty of parking at the event.

No car of your own? Would rather walk on the ferry? No problem! If you are planning on walking just let us know! We are in the process of coordinating a shuttle service for all of those on foot.

Those looking for a place to stay on the island will have a variety of options. Gabriola is full of charming hotels and B&B's.

• The Surf Lodge - Currently 8 rooms vacant from $100 - $175/night and 2 cabins available from $200 - $250/night.
• Silva Bay Inn - Currently 6 rooms vacant from $139 - $199/night.
• B&B's - There are B&B's all over the island. There are lists of them available here, here, and here.
• Airbnb - Even more B&B's.
• Coast Bastion Hotel - In Nanaimo. Walking distance to the Gabriola ferry.
• Best Western Dorchester Hotel - Also in Nanaimo. Walking distance to the Gabriola ferry.
• Descanso Bay Regional Park - Great Gabriola campground... if you're feeling woodsy.

As cheesy as it sounds, "your presence is presents enough". Many of you have to travel a long way (Gabriola is not the easiest place to get to) so, we really appreciate that in itself. But... if that doesn't feel right, you can always contribute to our honeymoon fund. We are going to Disneyland!
